P.J. Johal’s film is being compared with Paranormal Activity a 2007 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Oren Peli. The film centers on a young couple, Katie and Micah, who are haunted by a supernatural presence in their home. It is presented in the style of "found footage" from a camera set up by the couple in an attempt to photograph what is haunting them. It is one of the most profitable movies ever made.
"It was great shooting in the mecca of the film world," Johal said. "I love the city and the talented actors here. I hope that making this film in LA will inspire other producers to keep filming in the U.S. I hope to make many more films here."
Johal, who once ran a shelter during hurricane Katrina is
already in pre-production on Raymond, a psychological thriller/horror film that he also wrote.
Johal started his career as an actor in his teens and has numerous credits and accomplishments in the field.
