Cleaning For A Reason is proud to introduce its new Executive Director, Zane King of Plano, Texas who will took the reins September 6, 2011, at the Lewisville, Texas headquarters for the nonprofit.  Cleaning For A Reason is a 501(c)(3) organization with nearly 1.000 partners across the United States and Canada.  To date, the organization has helped over 4,500 women undergoing cancer treatment receive free house cleaning and maid services. Through a network of residential cleaning businesses all over the country, Cleaning For A Reason partners have helped women with cancer receive over 1 million dollars in free housecleaning.

King previously served the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas in various roles where he was responsible for significant growth in funding as well as establishing the infrastructure of the “Fund Development” department.  In his role as Corporate & Foundation Giving Manager, King was the spokesperson for the organization to many business and civic leaders in the community  and  increased community awareness for Girl Scouts.
King also spent two years as the Donor Services Manager for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.  While at the United Way, he was responsible for improving the internal and external relations of the Finance department.

Our Board is anxious to see Zane take this organization to the next level," said Cleaning For A Reason founder and President Debbie Sardone, who has owned Bucket & Bows Maid Service in Flower Mound for the past 29 years..
Before entering the nonprofit sector, King was a part of the expansion team for Children’s Choice Learning Center, opening multiple corporate child-care centers that thrive successfully today. He also has extensive experience in church work, ranging from youth outreach to senior pastor.

King graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2001 with a B.B.A. in Managerial Finance and earned his B.A. in Theology from Indiana Bible College in 2002.

Every 90 minutes a women who has cancer is granted a free housecleaning by Cleaning For A Reason, the nation’s first and only non-profit organization dedicated to providing free professional house cleaning services for women undergoing cancer  treatments.
