MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – September 13, 2011 – The leading pharma meeting in the U.S., the 5th Annual Pharma Forecasting Excellence 2011 Conference, will provide attendees the chance to discover tactics to improve accuracy and eliminate uncertainty.  This will assist with strategies in modifying forecasting models to ensure judgmental movements do not harm precision.  This premier event will take place on October 4 to 5, 2011 at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston.

“The pharmaceutical landscape is in a constant state of flux,” said Frost & Sullivan Senior Industry Analyst Deborah Toscano.  “Numerous scientific, regulatory, societal and economical issues continually influence the market.  As such, it is crucial for anyone involved in forecasting to stay one step ahead of the game in order to formulate predictions with as much accuracy as possible.”

Key approaches to strengthening forecast protocols highlighted at the Pharma Forecasting Excellence 2011 Conference include optimizing modeling and tools, while improving accuracy in short term forecasts to better avoid costs down the line.  Another benefit will be a review of the impact of healthcare reform on forecasts, providing a snapshot of the global effects.

Registrants will be afforded the prospect of developing new contacts via extensive networking opportunities to receive answers and insights from colleagues in the industry.  This event will also allow attendees the chance to benchmark their progress against peers as well as to determine best practices within the industry through interactive seminars, workshops and discussions.  Additionally, the Pharma Forecasting Excellence 2011 Conference will enlighten registrants on how to make the most of limited epidemiology in the healthcare environment.

Among other industry leading participants, the event will feature insight from Genzyme, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Lilly, Daiichi-Sankyo, Amgen and Novartis regarding their perspective of upcoming changes in the healthcare market.  The Pharma Forecasting Excellence 2011 Conferences’ particular focus will be given to strategies for improving forecasting for new products, using better modeling to estimate uptake rates and driving volumes during launches.  Topics will include discussions of the expected growth in the emerging markets space and how improvements can be made in the use of local level epidemiology.

“The value of any forecast lies in its perceived accuracy, which can be optimized by incorporating insight from multiple peers in the industry,” said Toscano.  “Pharma Forecasting for Excellence gives attendees the unique opportunity to capitalize on their knowledge and experience by interacting with other industry experts, which will help ensure comprehensive and accurate forecasts.”

The event features new speakers, new cast studies and a whole new layout, allowing guests to raise the bar in market planning.  For the full speaker lineup for the Pharma Forecasting Excellence 2011 Conference, agenda and more details please visit http://www.eyeforpharma.com/forecasting-excellence-usa.
