Duncan Nathaniel Satoshi—an American-born, Columbia University-educated lawyer-turned-
philanthropist;
himself, a newly elected, democratic President of the United States; and, interestingly, a six-foot-three-
inch tall, handsome, charismatic statesman of mixed Afro-American and Japanese heritage—is in the toughest battle of his political career. And, indeed, his personal life!
President Satoshi discovers—much to his own chagrin, and that of his closest and most trusted, vigilant, civic-minded advisers (Ariel Rahm, Robert Swenson, and Zelda Friedman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB)—that a “systemic [infiltration]
failure” widely exits within the federal government (as if he doesn’t already know!): United States Postal Service (USPS), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), United States Securities & Exchange Commission (USSEC), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (USCFTC), United States Department of Homeland Security (USDHS) and, of all places in the universe, the Pentagon!
Almost immediately, a chain of events begins to unfold; casting a cloud of suspicion over the President’s three advisers. In the process, a torrent of diatribes is viciously levelled against him, and his entire Administration;
causing the “American people” to question his leadership notwithstanding his landslide-victory, which catapulted him into the White House as the country’s forty-sixth President.
At the core of the aforementioned, tall piece of information (a seeming conspiracy, to say the least!) lies an unpredictably dangerous, faceless, racially mixed group of terrorists—with no real name, or permanent domicile—that may, very well, have comprised anyone off the streets. Its numbers, like an increasingly infested-sore, are thought to be incalculable.
Seeding such a posture are the “Marunouchi”;
so chiefly characterised by the Chiyoda-based Public Security Intelligence Agency (PSIA) of Japan, in that its surveillance-
techniques reveal a ‘slip-up’ in the terrorists’ arguably flawless fifteen-year history of being incognito. And, to make matters worst, their ‘cloak of invisibility’
is compromised;
exposing their frequently used (albeit, transient!) location in Marunouchi: an internationally renowned, upmarket, financial district (outside of Tokyo) wherein they’d conducted numerous, clandestine activities in the bosom of a three-storeyed, nondescript safe-house.
President Satoshi is dutifully informed by Messrs. Rahm and Swenson as well as Dr Friedman (the only Afro-American woman serving on his advisory board!) that “corruption”
, and “psychic manipulation-
by-remote sensing” (already permeating the aforementioned agencies, and undermining the ‘party machine’) seriously threaten the very integrity of the fabric of American society. And, via a combination of mysterious circumstances, seep through the veil of his Administration;
causing a virtual sabotage of its daily operations—much as posing a thinly veiled threat! But one, nonetheless, that has unimaginably staggering implications for irreparable damage to America’s global prestige, and foreign policy.
President Satoshi’s leadership—even as a ‘first-term’
President with just two-and-a-half-
years under his belt—is harshly criticised, and widely debated by the “American people”. In light of the foregoing damaging revelation, they vehemently demand his impeachment. And the White house—ensconcing the Satoshi-Administration, though not necessarily condoning, en masse, any alleged impropriety—
comes under intense, public scrutiny.
Not even Dr Peter Hastings—the highly respected Director of the Non-proliferation Centre (NPC), in the Directorate of Intelligence (DI), on the sprawling campus of the Langley-headquartered Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)—can quell the ensuing air of domestic uneasiness. At lost for words, Dr Hastings perplexedly remains reticent. The weight of responsibility—
already disproportionately heaped on the shoulders of his junior intelligence-
colleagues, particularly Dr Vivian Maude: his Deputy Directress of the Office of Transnational Issues (OTI)—looms largely over him. And, indeed, with dire consequences!
In an unprecedented move (and, certainly, with much alacrity!), Dr Hastings is summoned to the Oval Office at the White House—as well as the heads of certain, other national security-related services—to have an audience with President Satoshi who, quite understandably, is deeply incensed at the ineptness of his senior intelligence-
gathering staff.
MI-6—the British intelligence-
equivalent, known also as Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service—extensively monitor “Marunouchi’
s” foreign activities; aided, in part, by the ubiquity of the 'global positioning-
system' (GPS), amongst other futuristically ‘mind-blowing’
technologies that are, as yet, unknown to much of the world; especially, the “American people”!
But what is particularly baffling to MI-6—and PSIA, alike, according to “The Marunouchi Incident”—is the stonewalling-
communicative dissemination that occurs between the CIA and PIAB; causing one to wonder whether it’s reflective of something more insidious (sinister, even!) than meets the eye: a consortium of politically clever individuals, whose prime objective is to undermine President Satoshi’s leadership and respectability, with a view to impeachment. At the very worst—his assassination!
