Did you know cancer is the number one cause of death in dogs over 2? One in three dogs will be diagnosed with cancer, and fifty-percent of those will die. The 2010 Shoot-Out fully funded a research grant for Hemangiosarcoma.
On August 13-14, The WATT Arena welcomed over 266 handlers and 383 dogs, with competitors coming from as far as Sherwood, AR. The Memorial Wall for dogs lost to cancer had 44 heart-felt memorials accompanied by video of all the dogs in remembrance. The oldest competitor was 15 years and 6 months and the youngest pup was 1 year and 7 days.
Once again the Texas sized raffle delivered with over 200 prizes raising over $5,700.
