Follow on Google News | UBIFRANCE is 100% France at 100% DesignFor the fourth year in a row, the French Trade Commission UBIFRANCE in London is organising 100% France, the French pavilion at the 100% Design trade show.
By: Ubifrance “The scenography of 100% France was designed by Lucien Murat, who graduated from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, in London, in 2010: 100% Design represents an opportunity for young French talent to be unveiled outside France, in accordance with the role of VIA,” says Gérard Laizé, CEO of VIA (the French association for the Valorisation of Innovation in Furnishing). Atelier Polyhedre Atelier Polyhedre, a French ceramics studio that was founded in 2004, develops quirky, yet quality tableware and decorative pieces in a range of styles, from minimalist to baroque. Each item is handcrafted by the designers in their riverside workshop, using traditional fine-craft techniques. www.polyhedre.com Couleurs Privées Dedicated to architects, designers and decorators, Couleurs Privées has a range of original ideas for wall coverings, from Washi (a traditional paper from Japan) to bronze surface treatments. www.couleursprivees.com DRUGEOT LABO A brand belonging to renowned furniture manufacturer Ateliers du Drugeot, DRUGEOT LABO uses wood from sustainable sources to create furniture that is both original and practical. www.drugeotlabo.com Espace Loggia Espace Loggia, which was founded in the 1970s by Brigitte Bardot's sister, takes full advantage of a room’s space with, for example, a vertically movable bed that is stored underneath the ceiling when not in use. www.espace-loggia.com FRED & FRED FRED & FRED’s creation, PICT — a system of indoor partitions made up of optical glass, each block of which incorporates 16 lenses — has recently earned critical acclaim by winning the Reddot Design Award for its installation at London’s Serpentine Gallery. www.fred-fred.com Matière Grise Matière Grise makes contemporary and colourful metal furniture for both indoors and out.
