Couples Compete to see who has World’s Greatest Love Story

Sept. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Sandal’s resort is nearing the end of a 6 month search to find the “Greatest Love Story” where  couples submitted videos to win a week long trip to Jamaica. Six finalists have been chosen by committee so far, but the competition is JUST heating up, because the 7th finalist is determined by popular vote.

The interesting part is that the judging for the "Greatest Love Story" video contest is based primarily on emotional draw. Not creative editing, not the hottest bodies (though you do see a few) But, in the end, who’s going to touch our hearts? Who’s going to give us hope that true love DOES exist? And, like any good movie, book or video, who tells a really, really, REALLY good story?

Well, there are about 50 videos that are each 2 minutes long and, I’ll tell you, they’re not all shot by Spielberg. You’d have to sift through to find the few diamonds in the rough. Let me save you some time. I don’t think it’s any of the current finalists. It’s a video by couple of adorable children’s entertainers from south Florida.

They met when Kenny was a clown with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and he was interviewed by South Florida’s FOX Kids’ Club Host – Riley Roam. For him, love at first sight. For her, not so much.

Kenny says, “It was the ton of bricks everyone talks about. Bam, instantaneous! I just KNEW. After that, I told my family and all my friends that I met the woman I was going to marry. Unfortunately, Riley needed a little persuasion, but she eventually came around.”

She counters –“In my defense, he was a CLOWN! I had to get used to that. But now we’re crazy in love. Like, storybook crazy in love. For the past 15 years.”

Now they perform interactive storytheater shows together and produce educational videos for kids with their company they co-founded, Page Turner Adventures.  And, since they’re all about inspiring creativity in kids, Kenny’s proposal was SUPER creative as well. It involved poetry, clues, a treasure hunt and the southernmost point of the US. You can watch the video to get the whole story (I warn you - bring Kleenex).

They really need help to win on this though. Their submission date was August 14th, but the top contenders (who aren’t nearly as endearing) have had since March to get votes. So, Kenny and Riley have only 1 month (now less than a week!) to get more votes than what others had 6 months to get. So, if you really think theirs IS the Greatest Love Story, vote (everyday until September 14th) and share it with friends (everyone digs a good love story!).
