SIG Combibloc Employees: Driving towards a sustainable lifestyle

Sept. 12, 2011 - PRLog -- HOUSTON – SIG Combibloc North America is seriously dedicated to lead a successful corporate sustainability program. Joining the Green Business Bureau in March of 2011 supported SIG Combibloc’s efforts in achieving its green business certification and guiding its current green projects in the right direction. Employees are encouraged to lead a environmentally responsible lifestyle in the office and at home.  It begins with considering the impact one has on the environment and how he or she can reduce it.  By the following month in April, SIG Combibloc achieved Gold Status. On their way to Platinum, SIG Combibloc introduced a new project approach. SIG Combibloc Inc. will provide financial incentives for employees to purchase or lease hybrid vehicles.
The SIG Combibloc hybrid vehicle reimbursement program will roll out across US, Mexico and Canadian offices in Chester, PA, Mexico City and Toronto, Ontario. Employees of SIG Combibloc will be eligible for reimbursement of $3,000 for the purchase of a hybrid vehicle and $2,000 for its lease.  The program will be capped at two employees per year. The cash subsidies will be vested at 50% per year over two years – a measure studies have shown to help employee retention.
