The primal blueprint diet is simply a set of very simple instructions that allows you to take control over your body; most especially your genes, make them express themselves to build the strongest, leanest and the healthiest body you could ever have possible. And that can be achieved by taking clues from the primal part that is the evolutionary biology.
The primal blueprint diet is based on the idea and concept of eating the kinds of foods that were available to our ancestors during the Paleolithic times before. The primal blueprint diet works like magic because it is all about eating the foods that are bodies are designed for. The primal blueprint diet is all about lifestyle --- living the kind of life our cavemen forefathers had through food.

Basically, there are ten major paleolithic principles one need to follow in the primal blueprint diet.

1.   One must eat lots of plants, insects and animals.
2.   One must be able and should walk and move a lot at a slower pace.
3.   And yet, one must get real fast too sometimes.
4.   One must learn to lift heavy stuff.
5.   Get lots and lots of sleep at night.
6.   Have fun...play!
7.   Avoid any kinds of stress and trauma.
8.   Get lots of sunshine.
9.   Use one’s mind all the time by keeping it active.
10.   Stay clear of poisonous things.

Primal blueprint diet has one very different thing to offer than the other diet plans and diet fads. For one, the primal blueprint diet does not require one to count the calories that he or she is eating. Because according to the primal blueprint diet, our bodies are designed to eat anything for as long as we are hungry. Our ancestors in the paleolithic times before would eat sporadically in large quantities and they never once said: Oh my, I think I just had too much piece of meat! I should not eat dinner at all later!

In the primal blueprint diet, it is not the calories that matter but the kind of calories that one puts in his body. In the primal blueprint diet, one can enjoy a diet that is consists of wild fish, fruits, lean meats, vegetables but must stay away from grains, dairy products, legumes and all kinds of foods processed.

You do not have to follow a very detailed meal plan to get started on this diet. You can do a little research every now and then and if you feel that this is what your body needs, then, there are so many websites, blogs and articles on the internet that could help you become a primal blueprint fanatic.
