Scratchnall A Charm On Martha Stewart's Farm

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 11, 2011 - DILLSBURG, Pa. – It’s no secret animals enjoy a good scratch from time to time.  Many will go to great lengths to satisfy their itch.  When some of the barnyard pets on Martha Stewart’s New York farm started wearing away the corners of their shelters, she knew she had to do something.  Eyes and ears lead Stewart’s stable manager to a Pennsylvania-based pet products company and its self-grooming/scratching pad called Scratchnall™.  After a few months on the job, Scratchnall is a proven charm on Stewart’s farm.

In a recent blog posting (http://www.themarthablog.com/2011/08/getting-a-good-scrat...), Stewart says “My miniature donkeys, Clive, Rufus, and Billie scratch all the time by rolling on their backs and rubbing against rigid surfaces.  Last November, Betsy (my stable manager) attended The Equine Affaire in Massachusetts and came across a product called Scratchnall, invented by Cynthia Garry… a perfect solution for the problem with the donkey shelter.”

Scratchnall is a pad made to be used in stables, barns, kennels, zoos and homes.  They are uniquely designed to be used separately, or they can be interlocked to create surfaces in any size or shape.  Plus, they easily bend to fit around corners.  Garry uses three pads for her horse, Sundance, and her donkey, Teddy.  Various videos posted on http://www.scratchnall.com show different animals enjoying their turns.
