By: Primaris This free guidance will assist the provider to maximize receipt of meaningful use criteria financial incentives and help you build your practice reputation and credibility. Primaris is providing assistance to Missouri providers with reporting preventive care measures in 2011 and 2012 using the EHR or Claims options. Measure specifications differ depending on the reporting option you select and whether you report individual measures or a measures group. Missouri providers may contact Sandy Pogones, Program Manager Physician Services at (573) 673-4531 or email spogones@primaris.org CMS has hired Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) to provide free assistance to eligible professionals in reporting PQRS. As the federally designated QIO for Missouri, Primaris has helped hundreds of providers measure and improve care, using their EHR as an essential tool in the process. CMS is aligning quality measures for many initiatives, including PQRS, Patient-Centered Medical Homes, the EHR Incentive program (i.e., Meaningful Use), Accountable Care Organizations, and others. While still in development, the same electronic mechanism is expected to eventually be used to transmit all quality measures directly to CMS.
