Kitchener’s own Julius Bunda fought tonight at Casino New Brunswick in Moncton. On the line was the vacant Canadian Professional Boxing Council Middleweight title. Julius “Caesar” Bunda (5-1) who lives and train in Kitchener at Boxing By Syd Vanderpool Athletic Centre in only his 6th pro fight defeated previously undefeated Stuart McLellan fighting out of British Columbia. The hard fought 10 round battle saw McLellan get off the canvas in round to and fight gamely, but was overpowered by the strength of Bunda down the stretch. All three judges scored it unanimously for Bunda 96-95.
