Initiating her campaign on Sept. 6, 2011, Miss Dallas U.S. 2012 led a patient activity at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas, where she warmed the hearts of a group of children undergoing treatment with a day of arts and crafts. The beauty queen worked hands on with each child, helping them create a one-of-a-kind, textured vase filled with brightly colored flowers. Using a combination of strategically placed masking tape and old-fashioned, tin can shoe polish, the patients turned clear plastic bottles into finely crafted, “leather-like”
Miss Dallas U.S. 2012 proudly announces, “Beauty comes in various forms and fashions. I’m passionate about making a difference in the community and in the lives of children. I want to give the eyes and ears of Texas something different to behold and appreciate.”
