Individual people don't matter when your company has such an overbearing force of momentum that you know exactly what needs to be done to get there. And by "momentum", I don't mean sales targets, or any other lame metrics used by businessmen to try and gauge the profitability of their company. The fact is that if they are looking to get to a particular position, or do something worth while - money doesn't count. Money is just a bi-product to all of this, and so you really need to be able to get the most out of how you're going to hire people correctly.
The way to get the most out of your workforce is to instil a sense of destiny in them. This comes with focusing on the WHY of a company to be in existence. You see, most of the time - people are really unable to get the most out of how they are going to help a company proceed, and therefore have issues with what they're doing. The good news is that if you want to move forward correctly - you should be able to make the most out of hte company in the best way possible.

The momentum a company has far outweighs the personal skills that any of its employees have. In order to gain momentum, you really need to be able to help them reason as to WHY the company does what it does.
