The three-day, eight stage event at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas September 16th - 18th will feature more than 130 bands. Tyree Morris & Hearts of Worship will perform at ACL on Saturday, September 17th from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm on the Equity Stage.
The group, in its sixth year of existence, has enjoyed a string of performances at major music events throughout the Southwest since May. And while many of the events have drawn audiences of more than 30,000 people, ACL is surely the ‘Tour de Force’ of the group’s summer schedule.
ACL is by far a more unimaginable invitation than Hearts of Worship founder Tyree Morris expected at this stage of the group’s career – but dually, a welcomed opportunity!
“We have been singing at events that range from weddings and college campus music festivals to engagements in Vail, Loveland and for the second year, the L.A. County Fair”, Morris says. “Although these platforms are not the Christian oriented events the group is accustomed to, we see this as an opportunity to introduce the message of Christ outside the four walls of the church to diverse audiences. It’s authentic and engaging, but doesn’t compromise the gospel!”
Tyree Morris & Hearts of Worship uses an intricate fusing of Gospel, Hip-Hop, Salsa, R&B, Retro -Funk, Jazz and nuances of Neo-Soul to minister to a wide demographic of audiences. They have performed at five of the 13 House of Blues locations throughout the United States.
The group will also be performing at the event’s official after-party sponsored by C3 Presents at Stubbs Barbecue in Austin.
