Helen Dao to Present Cultural Communication Workshop for the NJ Society for Public Health

Helen Dao, MHA, will present “Integrating Cultural Strategies for Health Educators: Strengthening Communication” for the NJ Society for Public Health Education on 9/28/11. The workshop is open to all health educators.

Sept. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- On September 28, 2011, Helen Dao, MHA, will present “Integrating Cultural Strategies for Health Educators: Strengthening Communication” for the New Jersey Society for Public Health Education (NJSOPHE). This introductory-level program will be held from 8 am to 4 pm at the Continuing Studies Conference Center, New Brunswick, NJ. It is co-sponsored by the New Jersey Public Health Training Center and is open to clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and other health educators. This workshop will enable health educators to understand how to deliver health education that is culturally and linguistically appropriate. “It will get health educators thinking about and responding effectively to the diverse belief systems that can impact patients’ health and well being,” says Dao.
