Viewster stamps its European footprint deeper with Arcelik Grundig deal

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 9, 2011 - Viewster, the fast growing VoD movie platform, is to partner with the Turkish device manufacturer for its popular Grundig brand.
Arçelik is operating in over one hundred territories including China and the US with a wide range of brands.

The Viewster deal will enable Arçelik to launch its first offering of equipment featuring VoD content.

“This is another milestone in Viewster's Video on Demand application expansion now featured in established TV device brands within Arçelik's portfolio,”, explained Richard Ganter, Viewster SVP EMEA Business Development.

Deal adds Viewster to Grundig TVs

Viewster will be included on Grundig’s new 40" to 55" 3D connected TV models starting in September 2011. “We will launch a new wide range of Smart-Inter@ctive-TVs at IFA 2011 that allows direct and easy access to online services”, says Akin Garzanli, Arçelik TV Product Manager. “Exclusive applications (apps) will provide quick and easy access to information on topics such as health and lifestyle or the latest news stories. With Viewster we now have also integrated a state-of-the-art Video on Demand-Service for breathtaking television entertainment from the internet – also in 3D.”


Viewster-enabled sets will initially be available in the key European markets of Germany, Croatia, Spain, France and Italy - with Scandinavia, Russia, the Balkan states and the Middle East following shortly after.
