Local IT Services Firms Team to Help Non-Profit with Technology Implementation

Morris county IT companies join forces to donate network equipment to food pantry.
 
Sept. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Mount Arlington, NJ — New Jersey based Exigent Technologies has announced that it has collaborated with three other Morris County IT services companies to donate over $1,000 in computer network equipment to the Interfaith Food Pantry (IFP). The Interfaith Food Pantry is a non-denominational, non-profit organization that helps Morris County residents by supplementing their monthly groceries in times of financial struggles. Exigent Technologies proudly joined forces with Micro Strategies of Denville, Arctic Information Technology of Parsippany and Managed Business of Mount Olive to furnish the request.    

The brand new equipment includes a network equipment rack, various network cable management apparatus and 96 network cables. The provided gear will be used to enhance the use of information technology at the pantry as they transition to their new 14,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center at 2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains, New Jersey.  

“We are very fortunate to have the support of these wonderful organizations”, said Carolyn Lake, Assistant Director of IFP.  This donation will help us bring our IT infrastructure up to date and ultimately contribute to meeting the needs of the many Morris County families in need of assistance.”

Exigent’s President, Daniel Haurey, is a past contributor to the IFP.  Haurey added “New Jersey is one of the richest states in the union, yet every day thousands of our neighbors go to bed hungry. My esteemed colleagues and I are delighted to be able to play a small part in helping this organization do what they do.”

The Interfaith Food Pantry annual report reveals that 4,841 households were served in 2010, representing 11,583 different people and 727,133 pounds of food distributed.

“We’ve been operating our business in Morris County since 1983,” said Jim Veraldi, Executive Vice President of Micro Strategies. “It’s always a pleasure to help with local community efforts.”
