Sept. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- bidStart, the collectibles marketplace, has announced SixBit software as the company's first ever official bidStart Compatible Application. SixBit software was created by John Slocum, who created eBay's Blackthorne software. After he left eBay, he followed his dream of creating a better, easy to use, intuitive and comprehensive multichannel selling tool.

SixBit software launched in 2009, and with today's latest release SixBit now fully supports bidStart, the first marketplace to be supported by SixBit after eBay. “We're thrilled to certify SixBit as our first official bidStart Compatible Application,” said Mark Rosenberg, bidStart President. “Their team has a true passion for what they do, and we believe many of our sellers will be eager to take advantage of the excellent product they have put out. It compliments many of our existing features very nicely.”

Some of the features available in SixBit software include the ability to manage and create inventory, which can easily be organized into folders. Inventory items can easily be listed to bidStart directly from SixBit, tracked, managed, revised and more. A built in picture editor also makes it possible to crop and rotate images. Once a listing has sold, SixBit offers comprehensive post-sale management, fully integrated with bidStart. Pick lists, packing lists, printable postage and discounted shipping insurance are available as well. Sixbit President John Slocum said, "We chose bidStart as our first venue after eBay because of their commitment to the collectibles marketplace and their exceptionally well-designed website. Now their sellers can also benefit from our expertise in inventory management to make the most of both."

bidStart has long offered a full API for developers to integrate their programs with bidStart, and recently launched their bidStart Compatible Application program. bidStart Compatible Applications, are applications which use the bidStart API and have passed bidStart's rigorous compatible application review.
