Award Winning Author Carol Swain Discusses Declining Values and Morals in America in New Book

(Nashville, TN) - Amidst the decline in moral, social policies and culture in America, award winning Author and Professor at Vanderbilt University, Carol Swain released her new book titled "Be the People" to address these issues.  Her book is making a major sweep across the country and becoming a hot topic point in discussions.

"Be the People" is available for purchase at any major book store and can be found online at Amazon.com

America has been treading down a path of becoming "ungodly", a completely opposite direction of which this country was founded on; and it shows in our behavior and declining morals.

Worried about this declining trend, Swain's book addresses these issues with hope of waking America up to what we've become.

Her book is partitioned into two sections, one focuses on forsaking what we once knew and the other focuses on re-embracing the truth and justice in policy choices.  It also covers many other policies which she classifies as "America's shift to moral relativism," and "Abortion's fragile façade."

Swain hopes her book will invoke American Christians to change our status quo, by searching for leaders who embrace our moral values and who can make moral policy decisions.

America was founded by Christian-Judeo beliefs which it's emphatically expressed in our founding documents: "The Declaration of Independence" and our own "Constitution".  The book points out that our Government has succeeded a lot of power to maintain these ideals to a small group of Atheists.

Because of that relinquish of power, these small groups are having a profound impact on our society as they dictate the terms of debate on many critical social and political issues.  They are a main reason we can't have prayer in schools or carry a bible to class.

"The cold winds of change sweeping through Washington, D.C., and our nation are damning evidence that even though we say we believe in God, we live like atheists. We consider God to be either nonexistent or irrelevant - and certainly not in the business of distributing rewards and punishments. The solemn vows of faith that once impelled our leaders to bravery and provided the solid principles upon which our country was founded have been broken and abandoned to the winds. The virtues produced by faith in God have been banished from our borders." - an excerpt from her book  "Be the People".

"I want Americans to wake up to what we've become and stand up for our beliefs as our Founding Fathers did. Our nation depends on it.  We must elect politicians who will make sound moral decisions and policies that conform to what our country was founded on and not give into the crowd" says Swain.
