3 Day Course On "Electrical & Electronics Laboratory Equipment Maintenance" from Andhra University

Sept. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Elctrical and electronic laboratory equipment is the backbone of the teaching in science, technology, engineering, medicine and pharmaceutical disciplines. The maintenance of the equipment can represent significant operating expenses. The management of different maintenance contracts with various vendors proves to be nearly impossible and the coverage is limited. successful functioning, equipment maintenance must be one of the essential components in electrical and electronics teaching laboratories. one person is designated and responsible for the maintenance program.

Andhra University offering a certificate course on Electrical & Electronics Laboratory Equipment Maintenance and Service. The Programme is conducting by Systems Design Department(USIC) and technically associating with Embedded Wings, Visakhapatnam, India and IEI Visakhapatnam Local Chapter.  The course program provides In order to guarantee It starts with ensuring that the participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to fault-find electronic circuits to component level. Participants get a thorough knowledge on testing, measurement and fault-finding in electronic circuits like these to component level on a range of laboratory equipment. It is also provides the skills and knowledge required to understand electronic circuits and make repairs and modifications to the circuits when required. A comprehensive course-ware will be provided.  

on the completion of the course, participants will be able to:

* apply suitable safety preventions while working with electric / electronic equipment (anti-static precautions,
electric shock accidents, etc),
* understand the principles of grounding / protection and associated devices,
* recognize the most common industrial motor types and understand their operation, connections and maintenance requirements,
* usage of electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes, logic probes etc.,
* usage of electrical test equipment effectively and carryout testing of a range of motors, solenoids, cables etc.,
* access electrical enclosures and replace fuses, reset overloads etc., and
* locate faulty electronic components and carry out effective repairs.

The course is open to Laboratory Technicians & Laboratory In-Charges working in degree / post-graduation colleges, engineering colleges, pharmaceutical colleges, and medical colleges. A few seats are available for Degree & PG students pursuing electronics as one of the subjects.
