Best Director Award Presented to Valerie Weiss for film Losing Control from Feel Good Film Festival

Sept. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- House Lights Media Partners (House Lights Media) congratulates Valerie Weiss, the Writer and Director of its recently acquired romantic comedy LOSING CONTROL, for her ‘Best Director’ award from the Feel Good Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.  Valerie Weiss won the ‘Best Director’ accolade from a field of 16 feature length films that were showcased at the festival.

LOSING CONTROL continues to gain recognition as it is invited to exhibit at a number of prominent film festivals around the country.  LOSING CONTROL will be seen next as the opening night film at the Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival (TVIFF) on September 14, 2011 in Temecula, California.  Along with honoring LOSING CONTROL as its opening night film, the TVIFF is recognizing Peter Bogdanovich, Connie Stevens and Virginia Madsen as a few of its industry honorees for their extensive film, television and musical bodies of work.  LOSING CONTROL will go on to screen as the closing weekend showcase film at the Tacoma Film Festival on October 9, 2011, the Chicago Comedy Film Festival on October 14, 2011 and the Carmel Art and Film Festival in Carmel, California on October 15, 2011.  LOSING CONTROL will also screen at the Philadelphia Film Festival on October 22, 2011.  As screening opportunities continue to grow through festival acceptance, a list of screening events can be found at the movies web site at www.losingcontrolmovie.com.

LOSING CONTROL is hailed as a great date movie that melds science, drama, romance and comedy, thereby expanding the “rom-com” audience by appealing to both men and women.  Caramie Schnell, Vail Daily, declared “LOSING CONTROL… isn’t your typical rom-com.  It’s a smart and funny film.” LOSING CONTROL also was reviewed as “a high energy, funny film,” by Maddy Kadish, The Independent.  The film is being honored with a special screening at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC this fall.
