Senior-Fit's theme this year is mind, body and spirit. The health fair features a wide range of free wellness and health education sessions and information. Attendees will receive free gifts and an opportunity to win door prizes. Entertainment will be featured in the lobby while the following free break-out sessions are held in the The Atrium Cinema at the designated times: 10:45 a.m. - "Zumba Gold Senior Chair Aerobics" will be led by Brooklynn Weight 11:30 a.m. - Tai-Chi for Seniors will be taught by instructor Hasmig Mekjian Planned free offerings include a cervical spine evaluation performed by Pinelli Chiropractic Center; a foot screening performed by Howard Kliman, D.P.M.; hand and foot massages courtesy of Jeannette Mendez; chair massage therapy and young living essential oils compliments of Jaime Bachrach, C.M.T. and Andrew Cicirelli, L.M.T., respectively; "For seniors, massage therapy has proven physical benefits such as lowering blood pressure, relieving pain, improving overall circulation, and increasing mobility," said Jaime Bachrach, C.M.T., owner of Harmony Within Massage Therapy of Westwood, N.J. "Added to that, it is known to improve emotional well-being by releasing endorphins and promoting sleep. At Senior-Fit, our massage therapy sessions will be customized for each individual, taking his or her specific needs into consideration in order to gain the maximum benefits from the treatment."
