'The Voice of Stray Dogs' announced today India's 1st photo-essay competition in association with TWB (www.twb.in) Contest entries should be: Individuals or in a team of upto 3 members. At least 2000 words (in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telegu, Bengali, Assamese, Gujrati or Marathi) and atleast 10 original photographs need to be submitted as a photo-essay. Last date for entries is 1st Nov 2010. All terms and conditions of the contest are listed on the www.facebook.com/ Entries will be evaluated by a world class jury that includes: Amala Akkineni: Movie superstar, and wife of superstar Nagarjuna. A full time animal rights activist and founder of Blue Cross of Hyderabad, member of Animal Welfare Board of India. (AWBI) Eloise Leyden: Photographer and author of "Slum Dog India” - the book contains over 150 colour photographs of the stray dogs found on virtually every street corner of the subcontinent. It came about after a year long trip through India in 2007/2008. Dr. S.
