- Sep. 5, 2011 - NAPERVILLE, Ill. --
Thousands of people came together to worship and celebrate on Rotary Hill in Naperville at an outdoor service called “IMPACT Remix” on September 4th. All 13 of Community Christian Church’s campuses from throughout Chicagoland assembled for the celebration experience of a lifetime. At the one-of-a-kind opportunity to laugh, worship and be inspired, COMMUNITY attendees and their friends celebrated all of the many blessings God given in the past two years since the start of IMPACT, which kicked off on Rotary Hill on Labor Day weekend 2009.
One hundred twenty five people were baptized at IMPACT Remix, as the thousands of attendees cheered and sang along with the worship music that rocked the Hill. Attendees were also invited to write messages of gratitude and hope on any of the eight massive walls lining the Hill.
"I can't imagine a better way to celebrate all that God has done at our church and in our communities,”
said Lead Pastor Dave Ferguson. “Not only did we get to hear stories of people whose lives have changed, but we got to see it happen to over a hundred more people right before our eyes as they came to be baptized. I can't wait to see what God is going to do next!"
Next week, Community Christian Church will launch its new series called Love at Last Sight to learn how to make your most important relationships closer and deeper than ever before. More information can be found at http://communitychristian.org/love
. The series will run at all 13 Chicagoland Community Christian Church locations and also at five interactive online services throughout the week, which can be found at http://communitychristian.org/online
