Publisher Karen Hunter Joins PMFF List of Notable Award Honorees

Sept. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- East Stroudsburg, PA – Bridget O. Davis, CEO & Founder of the Pocono Mountains Film Festival (PMFF) a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization is pleased to announce the honorees for The 9th Annual PMFF awards to benefit The Utopia Safe House.for Battered Women.

The awards will be held in the beautiful and exclusive Pocono Mountains on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at East Stroudsburg University in the Keystone Room at 7:30pm.  

The 9th Annual Pocono Mountains Film Festival Award Honorees will be:

•   Frank Gatson, Creative Director

•   Michael Sadowski, Journalist, Pocono Record

Past honorees have included the late Jack Palance, Fred “The Hammer” Williamson, Billy Dee Williams, Michael Jackson, Cliff Robertson, Robert Vaughn and Roberta Flack.

Notable participation include: Celebrity and media award honorees, along with Film, TV and Entertainment executives, media, actors, writers, producers and fashion elite.  

The weekend also includes film workshops and Celebrity panel discussions on Friday, October 21 at East Stroudsburg University, from 5pm – 7pm, a Meet and Greet with Celebrity handprints embedded into the cement for the PMFF Walk of Fame at Smugglers Cove, East Stroudsburg PA @ 9pm and film workshops to be held on Saturday, October 22, from 12pm-3pm at the Community Theater.
