Local boutique owners resisting trend of store closures

Sept. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- While stores around the Gold Coast have been forced to close doors due to the current retail climate, boutique owners Sharon Fletcher and Mandy Bell are fighting fire with fire by opening their second store in the same suburb as their current store.

The owners of Dot Wears a Dress have opened their second store ‘Crave Yard’ literally steps away from their current store in Palm Beach.  An opportunity for retail space they felt they couldn’t resist, the new store is located next door to popular Palm Beach business, Little St Kilda Café on 7th Avenue.

Visitors to Crave Yard will see a distinct contrast to Dot wears a Dress, with the new industrial style store stocking labels for the edgier fashion lover.  Crave Yard also stocks menswear and various accessory labels.  A visit to the store is worth just seeing the typography adorning the walls of their customers ‘craves’ they collected via Facebook before opening.

After 4 years of trading in Palm Beach, Dot wears a Dress remains feminine and beachy with a taste of both Sharon and Mandy’s personal love of bohemian style.   Both stores have online shopping available via the Dot wears a Dress website.
