Lisa C. Goodheart Begins Term as President of the Boston Bar Association

Sept. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Lisa C. Goodheart, a partner at the Boston civil litigation firm Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak & Cohen, P.C., began her term as President of the Boston Bar Association on September 1, 2011.  Goodheart has been active in the BBA for many years having served as President-Elect, Vice President, Treasurer and Co-Chair of the Environmental Law Section.  She is the former Chair of the Judicial Nominating Commission, which assists and advises the Governor in the selection of candidates for state judicial appointments.  Goodheart is also a past President of New England Women in Real Estate.  She becomes the third lawyer from Sugarman, Rogers to serve as President of the BBA; the two others are Anthony M. Doniger and Edward J. Barshak.

At SRBC, Goodheart serves as Chair of the firm’s Environmental Law and Real Estate Litigation Groups.  She has extensive experience in cost-recovery cases, permitting appeals, land use disputes, enforcement actions, insurance coverage disputes, design and construction matters, and a broad range of business litigation matters.  Goodheart is a graduate of Williams College (cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (cum laude).
