Ali’s approach to what it means to be a true Sufi differs greatly from the traditional views. He states, “Throughout the Asian continent, there are many schools that advertise becoming a Sufi, but they are only moneymaking schemes.” To understand what it means to be a true Sufi, he begins by defining God’s true knowledge, the wisdom that is reflected in holy books as well as hardships that are personally experienced in this world. He also explains how it differs from worldly knowledge, or the knowledge that is taught to us and observed throughout our lives.
He goes on to declare that through a designation of bloodline, certain individuals are chosen to directly receive God’s true knowledge. This knowledge is only passed along to a true Sufi. We follow Ali as he explains how this knowledge was passed along to him by his forefathers, giving him the opportunity to share this message with the world.

About the Author
Malik Ali was born in the district of Kasur, Pakistan. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1971. From an early age, he was destined to learn the meaning of struggle, sacrifice, and the continuous obstacles of life. As he progressed through school, his father provided never-ending love and support. And with this knowledge, came the understanding of who Malik really was and is today. After graduating Tokay High, he then attended and graduated the four-year electrical apprentice program at San Joaquin Delta College. In the year 1984, he was able to open up his own electrical shop. He is still self-employed and resides in the small town of Lodi, California. Malik is working on his next book.
