The winner will receive a VIP Red Carpet hair and make-up make-over by Celebrity Stylist and Make-up Artist Clark Russell, plus 2 tickets to the NCLR ALMA Awards show taping on September 10, 2011; where the Latinos in film & television are honored.
The make-over transformation and walk down the red carpet will be videotaped and aired on Latin Heat and on all of our partners’ websites as well as on the ALMA Awards website. In addition, the winning essay will be published on www.LatinHeat.com and the winner will have the opportunity write about the ALMA Awards for publication and considered to cover more high profile assignments.

Since 1995, the NCLR ALMA Awards have promoted fair, accurate, and representative portrayals of Latinos in entertainment. The organization honors we the incredible Latino talent in Hollywood, building on the legacy of the exceptional talent of past awardees such as Salma Hayek, Shakira, Narciso Rodriguez, America Ferrera, Edward James Olmos, and many more.
The ALMA Awards will air on Friday, September 16, 2011 on NBC at 8PM.
