Aurora 5500 Turbocharger Sets The Bar For Refined Power

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 1, 2011 - The Aurora 5500 Turbocharger has joined the family of turbos that are well known as being great for multi-use truck applications. This new option was developed for truck owners that wish to have a single-turbo configuration that will work for both high power output, as well as rapid spool-time for city and highway driving.

ATS’ highly acclaimed Aurora 5000 lent its turbine (exhaust) housing to this new model. A recently developed and exclusive high-output compressor section was then added to provide massive airflow for upgraded performance or competition.  The Aurora 5500 comes equipped with the strongest cartridge and bearing system for its class. Diesel truck owners can now have a turbo capable of 10-second quarter mile drag runs, full (truck) pulls, and enough air to dominate on a chassis dyno, while maintaining the ability to comfortably drive their truck around town.

For truck owners who use their vehicle for sled (truck) pull competition, the Aurora 5500 is available in a ‘clipped’ 2.6” compressor variation to comply with class rules. Also available is the standard 3.0” compressor version.
