Robert K. Lincoln Addressed 14th Annual Land Use Law Conference in Tampa, Florida

Sept. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Robert K. Lincoln, a partner at the law firm of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg, P.A., recently spoke at the 14th Annual Land Use Law conference. The two-day event was held recently at the Sheraton Riverwalk in Tampa, and focused on emerging growth management legislation, property rights, the appraisal process and annexation.

Mr. Lincoln, who concentrates his practice in areas relating to land use and development, provided case law updates and discussed recent cases in Florida land use law, their implications for litigation and land use practice. A noted authority on this subject, Mr. Lincoln has served as a conference speaker for the past six years and is the author of the state’s first land-use related legal blog, which may be found at http://flalandlaw.blogspot.com.
   
A member of Icard Merrill since 2004, Mr. Lincoln represents public and private clients in all aspects of the land development process, with a focus on complex land use and zoning approvals and litigation. He currently serves as special land use counsel for the City of Seminole and has been published extensively on land use issues. Prior to joining the Florida Bar in 1994, Mr. Lincoln’s career was distinguished by a broad academic and professional background, including professorships at several universities. He received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from New College of Florida, a Master of Science in Planning from Florida State University, and a J.D. with high honors from Florida State University College of Law. A longtime resident of Sarasota, Mr. Lincoln has served as the Director of the New College Alumni Association since 1997 and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Downtown Partnership.
