Sept. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Hooters Australia are continuing their expansion in Australia with the announcement of their newest restaurant in Sydney's south west, Campbelltown.

Hooters, one of the largest food chains in the US, have continued to increase their prevalence in the Australian food and hospitality industry with this new store, coming on the back of the successful launch of their most recent restaurant in Penrith, in June of this year.

It is the first time in a long time that a Hooters Restaurant in Australia won't be completely owned and operated from Australia, with the Campbelltown Restaurant attracting foreign investors.

49% of the newest edition to the Hooters stable, will be owned by Chanticleer Holdings, Inc., who are a holding company from the US that buy whole or part of companies using a value-based approach. Chanticleer Holdings has a 4% interest in 161 company-owned Hooters locations across sixteen states, or nearly half of all US Hooters restaurants and over one-third of the locations worldwide and have also directly invested in three Hooters restaurants in South Africa.

"The Australian market is continuing to get stronger and in line with the way our company is moving and the growth of Hooters Restaurants, we didn't want to miss out on another incredible opportunity and hence our first investment into the Australian market.

We see a huge opportunity in the Campbelltown area and the general optimism, energy and entrepreneurial spirit evident makes it a critical location for attracting locals to the renowned and already strong Hooters brand", said Michael Pruitt, CEO, Chanticleer Holdings.

The other 51% share of Hooters Campbelltown will be owned by Morney Schlebusch, who has successfully reinvented the popular food chain in Australia, since taking over in 2009 and making it a favourite restaurant for many people.

"Campbelltown was an obvious choice. There are around 150,000 people living in the area and we look forward to providing them with a new experience, together with our  fun service and great food. Most importantly we'll be able to give back to the community also, by creating jobs- from building the new 647 square metre premise, to all staff (Hooters girls) and chefs- and making it truly the restaurant of the Campbelltown people.

With the support, combined resources and combined knowledge of Chanticleer Holdings, I'm even more excited than ever to open the new Campbelltown store, which I believe could be the best ever in Australia!", said Morney Schlebusch, Chief Operating Officer, Hooters Australia.

Hooters Campbelltown is planning to open at the end of November, 2011 and will be located at 4 Rennie Road, Campbelltown, just off the M5 freeway, making it very accessible from the CBD, Liverpool or Goulbourn.
