(Austin, TX) – Austin’s innovative Khabele School celebrates its tenth anniversary this year with a high-brow, high-class event at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater on November 12, 2011. The event will feature top-notch entertainment from Austin-based musicians Alejandro Escovedo, Bob Schneider, and Akina Aderley, each playing a 45-minute set. The evening will also include a seated dinner with locally-sourced ingredients and cocktails.

The Khabele School is an alternative private school focused on encouraging students to fall in love with learning. The Khabele’s School systematized approach to teaching students to live a life of authenticity and courage creates students with a profound sense of well-being, environmental and cultural awareness, self-expression, self-generating learning, and leadership. This summer, the school merged with Primavera Montessori to create a full preschool through high school experience in the Khabele spirit.

“Coming Up Together” at ACL Live highlights some of the best features of the Khabele school: its focus on culture, its creativity, and its ability to prepare its students for the world. The school is known for its community, and the event is a chance for parents and staff to celebrate the strong sense of unity the Khabele school embodies every day.
Individual tickets range from $15-$100, an incredibly affordable way to gather community-wide support for the Khabele School. A unique Sweetheart Package includes admission for two to the Mezzanine Gallery and Exclusive Seating, backstage passes, a champagne toast, and a one-night stay at the W Hotel!
