Subaru XV and BRZ to Debut at 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show

Aug. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- The final production version of the new Subaru XV crossover will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, along with a near-production-ready version of the new BRZ sport coupe, rumored to be called BRZ Prologue.

Subaru on Wednesday released a rear three-quarter teaser image of the XV, which was revealed in concept form earlier this year at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show. Visit http://www.subarusaltlake.com for details.

The XV gets all-wheel drive and Subaru’s new dynamic chassis control. The automaker said the production XV will measure 175.2 inches long, 70.1 inches wide and 61.8 inches tall, on a wheelbase of 103.7 inches

The rear-drive BRZ coupe — better known colloquially as the “Toyobaru” because it shares underpinnings with the Toyota FT-86 — is expected to be displayed in final production trim in December at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show, with production slated to begin next spring.

The BRZ will feature Subaru’s new 2.0-liter direct-injection four-cylinder boxer engine.

The coupe measures 165.4 inches long, 69.7 inches wide and 50.0 inches tall, on a wheelbase of 101.2 inches.
