Vancouver Fire Fighters’ Launch 25th Anniversary Hall of Flame Calendar

Vancouver Fire Fighters launch their 25th Anniversary Hall of Flame 2012 Calendar with a road trip through 25 venues in Vancouver on September 8th.

Aug. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- They will visit 25 venues in one day on a fire fighter road trip!

Vancouver, BC – The Vancouver Fire Fighters will be launching their 2012 Hall of Flame calendar in style this year – to commemorate their 25th anniversary of bringing hotness to 12 months of the year, they will be stopping at 25 different venues in one day in a bid to sell as many calendars as they can in a 12-hour period.

The whole crew from the calendar will be setting off in a bus from Vancouver Trolley Company early in the morning on September 8th and will end up in the Granville Entertainment District 12 hours later, having visited 25 locations including offices, stores, TV stations, newspaper offices and shopping malls throughout the day.

Their goal is to visit as many people as possible, selling calendars as they go; inviting media and guests to hop on for the ride and getting the important message out about the charities the calendar supports each year.

In recent years, the Vancouver Fire Fighters Charitable Society has raised well over a million dollars (and counting!) for local charities including the Burn Fund, BC Children’s Hospital and the Orphans Fund.  This year, they aim to raise more than the $50,000 collected last year from sales of the calendar.

The 2012 Hall of Flame Calendar is a throwback to the classic calendars of the past – no gimmicks, no jokes – just classy sepia shots of Vancouver/North Vancouver/White Rock’s finest.  Each page gives details on all of our calendar boys including what they like to whip up as their specialty in the fire hall kitchen.

The Fire Fighters featured all give up their own time to be photographed, to promote and sell the calendars to raise money for extremely important causes across the Lower Mainland.

The 2012 Greater Vancouver Fire Fighters Hall of Flame Calendar will be launched on September 8th and then goes on sale at London Drugs stores and fine retailers throughout the Lower Mainland and online.  You will also be able to order a copy of the calendar by visiting: www.vancouverfirefighters.ca.

About Vancouver Fire Fighters' Charitable Society:

Vancouver Fire Fighters have a proud and long-standing history of fundraising in the community. When they are not protecting the lives and property of the citizens of Vancouver, they are dedicating thousands of hours of their own time in support of charitable organizations throughout the Lower Mainland. From Trout Lake to Point Grey, Vancouver Fire Fighters are on the front line when it comes to supporting communities.

The Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service has been involved with community and charity work for the past 90 years and the Vancouver Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society was officially formed in 1998 to build on their previous legacy of community work.
