A new contract worth £70,000 has been awarded to commence from the new September school year at Gorsely Goffs Primary School in Herefordshire.
The school has a Christian foundation and educates around 160 pupils aged 4 – 11 years.
The new contract will supply freshly hot and cold lunch meals via a daily delivery service, freshly prepared at the larger John Kyrle High School and Sixth Form Centre kitchen hub.
The hub already supplies 5 other local primary schools with nutritional meals and can easily incorporate the additional service.
AiP and John Kyrle have been working in partnership for over 12 years now, achieving the Bronze Food for Life Catering Mark in the last 6 months. The contract was renewed in 2010 with the additional investment of a biometric cashless system to increase efficiency levels across the board, together with an external eating kiosk.

“By partnering with them we hope to significantly grow the uptake of fresh school meals and publicise the benefits over and above packed lunches.
“This way, pupils progressing through to secondary schools will continue eating plated school meals and eventually, when entering full time employment, will hopefully be healthier and happier individuals;
Gorsley Goffs already has an environmental and sustainability ethos holding the Silver Eco Schools award. Activities are centred on recycling, energy saving, healthy living and bio-diversity.
The contract is part of AiP’s £1.8m new business commencing for the next school year and contributes to their overall success story of a 100% turnover increase during the past three and a half years; a clear example of their commitment to quality and tight control on today’s economic constraints.
