SP Data Appoints Dan Bemis as President to Lead U.S. Expansion

Bemis will manage the strategic direction and day-to-day business operations of the company’s ongoing U.S. expansion into a variety of industry sectors, including cable, telecommunications, financial services, logistics and energy.

Bemis joins SP Data with nearly 20 years of sales and marketing, operations, business development, and customer service experience.  He most recently served as president and CEO of CentraComm, a leading managed IT security and service provider, where his efforts led to the firm being named one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies by Inc. Magazine and one of the fastest-growing IT solutions providers by CRN.

Previously, Bemis served as senior vice president of Vonage when the company saw annual revenue growth from less than $1 million to over $500 million with 1.7 million customers and a global support network.  He was recognized for his work at Vonage with the Avaya Innovation award for customer support.

He also served as corporate vice president of customer service for Adelphia Communications with $5.3 billion in annual revenues, restructuring the company’s nearly 4,000-person customer service organization.  Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Continental Cablevision, RCN and Primestar Inc. where he was part of a team that won two consecutive JD Power awards for customer satisfaction.

Bemis will be based in SP Data’s U.S. headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. Bemis anticipates the company will add 300 to 400 jobs in the Great Lakes region over the next few years with additional growth outside the area as well. SP Data supports the goals of Jobs4America, a coalition of business leaders committed to creating 100,000 new contact center jobs in the U.S. over the next two years.
