2011 Annual Esther Call to Empower Women From Diverse Backgrounds

Aug. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Hundreds of women will gather for the third annual Esther Call: Redefined and Refined Woman conference, September 16 - 17. Presented by Thee Shower of Blessings Church International (SBCI), Esther Call is an explosive, spirit-filled two-day encounter giving women an opportunity to take time to reflect and renew.  

Inspired by the Bible’s compelling and uplifting story of Esther, SBCI’s pastor, Dr. Betty  Mitchell, has convened this annual event to empower women who serve diverse roles in their daily lives.

“Women are the ones who bring life into this world legally, so the enemy is always against us,” said Dr. Mitchell. “In this time and in this season the adversary is at an all time high. The enemy knows his time is not long, and women need to understand the position that God has placed us in.”  

Esther Call’s two-day schedule is power-packed. On Friday evening, SBCI will host a fellowship with refreshments and free samples from cosmetic company Beauti Control. There will also be an anointed worship service with guest speaker Pastor Pamela Gilchrist from Waters of Life Outreach Ministry.  

Saturday’s activities begin with a shopping Expo and “Pamper Me” sessions. Participants can indulge in beauty makeovers or a pedi/mani by beauty industry professionals. Morning Enrichment Seminars will be held for youth and adults led by Dr. Betty Mitchell along with guest speakers Dr. Debra Messenger (Antioch Christian Center) and family practitioner, Dr. Barbara Leone Brown MD. A special luncheon will also be held, featuring “A New Attitude” style show. The first 25 women to arrive on Saturday will be entered to win prizes, including a complete make-over and jewelry by designer Rhoda Vashti.
