Pittsburg State University Launches First CatalogM Implementation

Aug. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The new Pittsburg State University online catalog is now live at http://catalog.pittstate.edu. This is AllofE's first implementation of CatalogM, the online catalog management system that allows universities to easily update and manage their online and print catalogs from a database-driven central location. AllofE is currently looking for four universities that want to take their course catalog to a whole new level as part of the CatalogM product launch.

"The 2011-12 university catalog has a new look and now has a very intuitive search engine for ease in identifying the information users are seeking," said Debbie Greve, Pittsburg State University Registrar. "We hope users will find the online catalog clear and easy to use."

Previously, the PSU catalog was 352 pages, and cost nearly $12,000 to print 7,000 copies. With an intuitive, searchable online catalog, now they only need to print a catalog if necessary.

"We believe users are going to like having the catalog available to them anywhere they have a connection to the Internet," Greve said. "They're going to like the convenience of the search function and the fact that it is updated annually."

AllofE is currently finalizing partnerships for the next two implementations of CatalogM, and will partner with two additional flagship universities as part of the product launch. Partnerships will entail discounted pricing of as much as 30%, and specialized attention to the unique needs of those universities. The goal of CatalogM is to create very high-end examples of university catalog management.
