Trans Environmental Weathers Hurricane Irene

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 29, 2011 - Initial inspection shows that Trans Environmental experienced only cosmetic damage from Hurricane Irene. Power, water, and other utilities have been restored.

We will be using Monday, August 29, to restore operations and open normally on Tuesday, August 30.

Mark Jensen, President of Transport Environmental Systems, Inc., said, "I want to particularly thank West Carteret Water Corporation for keeping the water flowing, as well as, Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative for their diligence in restoring of power."

Dr. Jensen continued, "We appreciate that CCEC Communications Director Lisa Galizia kept us informed as to their progress."

We are thankful the damage here was minimal. Many of our neighbors have had water damage. We realize that our neighbors Down East Carteret County were harder hit with wind, flooding, and power outages. Power continues to be an issue for them.
