Aug. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Karikuy Tours Peru, a specialist in Peru vacations and tour packages has announced that they will now include admission to hike to the summit of Huayna Picchu with all new custom tours that include Machu Picchu.

Huayna Picchu, "Young Peak" is the mountain that rises over Machu Picchu, the "lost city of the Incas" which celebrated its centennial this year. The peak of Huayna Picchu is about 2,720 meters (8,920 ft) above sea level, about 360 meters (1,180 ft) higher then Machu Picchu.

In June Cusco's Ministry of Culture restricted access to Huayna Picchu to allow only 400 travelers to hike to the summit. The hike now requires an admission fee which prior to June 2011 had been free on a first come first serve basis. There will also be two different turns in which tourists will be allowed to climb to the summit of Huayna Picchu, 200 tourists will be allowed in at 7:00AM and the other 200 at 10:00AM.

Karikuy Tours Peru will add the Huayna Picchu admission fee to all its Peru tour packages that include Machu Picchu in 2012. For 2011 only custom tours will include the admission. The admission to Huayna Picchu may be requested with with any tour package from Karikuy Tours as long as it is booked at least 2 weeks in advanced due to availability.

Machu Picchu only allows 2,500 tourists to enter the citadel on a daily basis, a number which has been reached almost daily since July. The high amount of travelers is due to Machu Picchu celebrating 100 years since its presence was made known to the world by the American explorer Hiram Bingham.

Describing the new admission rules, Julio Cesar Tello, founder and CEO of Karikuy Tours Peru explains "Karikuy wants to ensure our customers that they are aware of this years changes to admissions at Machu Picchu and are able to get the full experience. Only 400 of the 2,500 people that visit the ruins on a daily basis will be allowed to hike to the summit of Huayna Picchu.

"We want to let our customers have this opportunity, as few even know that you can climb to the summit, let alone that most tour agencies currently don't included this admission. If this is not booked in advance you will not be able to climb Huayna Picchu. Our dedication to our customers and our attention to detail is why we are among the best companies offering Peru tour packages and services."

Karikuy Tours Peru (http://www.karikuy.org) was founded in 2007. The company offers Peru tour packages with no fixed dates and full customization based on the customers needs and budget.
