The Friedland Capital Strategy Is Designed To Enable Moonshot Pictures to Access Foreign Capital and to Obtain a Stock Market Listing in the United States

Sao Paulo, Brazil – August 22, 2011 - Sao Paulo based Moonshot Pictures today announced that it has entered into a corporate finance advisory agreement with Friedland Capital Latin America S.A (“Friedland Capital”).  

The agreement provides for Friedland Capital, in association with its Brazilian partner, Brazilian Investment Group, to assist Moonshot Pictures to obtain a stock market listing in the United States. Access to the public global capital market will enable Moonshot Pictures to take advantage of the rapidly growing demand for Portuguese language productions in Brazilian and global film and television markets.

Moonshot Pictures has a strong presence in the Brazilian market as a result of its popular content; recent cinematic and TV productions include "Ultima Parada 174" and "9mm: São Paulo".  The Company has been building its production capabilities most recently with the acquisitions of production facilities in Los Angeles and the installation of the capability to produce live 3D content.  

The Company’s founders, Roberto d’Avila, and Percival Palesel, have been very successful in creating and distributing television programming and motion pictures.  Mr. d'Avila, the Company’s Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, has produced over 20 films, and was responsible for Brazilian television shows including "9mm: São Paulo," "Brazil's Next Top Model," and the reality show "Por um Fio".  Mr. Palesel, Moonshot Pictures’ Chief Executive Officer, is a television marketing and advertising entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience creating groundbreaking television programs for the Brazilian market, including “Rede Mulher de Televisão”, Brazil’s first dedicated women's television channel.  He is also a pioneer in innovative interactive television content.

In announcing the agreement, Percival Palesel commented, “We are excited about our new relationship with Friedland Capital and Brazilian Investment Group. There is a huge demand for locally produced television and motion content in Brazil, the largest Portuguese market in the world. This relationship is particularly fortuitous in light of the telecom expansion bill currently awaiting President Rousseff’s signature. When passed, this bill will require all broadcasters to air a huge number of hours to feature locally produced programming.”
