Indie Pop Artist BESS ROGERS Releases New Single From Her Forthcoming Album

Bess Rogers returns to the spotlight with her new single, “Anchor,” from the forthcoming album, Out Of The Ocean.  “It's always nice when you don't have to labor over what to do on a song, and this was one of those. The song itself is pretty literal - just about having someone who grounds you and brings you back to reality,” states Rogers regarding the new song.

“Anchor” was released as a ‘digital 45’ worldwide on August 23 and features a cover of the Beatles’ classic, “In My Life.”  Visit http://bessrogers.bandcamp.com to stream both tracks.

The Brooklyn-based Rogers has created national recognition through her independent releases, relentless touring, as lead guitarist and backing vocalist for Ingrid Michaelson, and most recently as the singing voice of the nationally televised Mott’s For Tots advertising campaign with her song, “We Believe In You.”  Bess has also had other compositions featured on television shows such as Switched At Birth, One Tree Hill, Raising The Bar, Pretty Little Liars and Weeds.

In addition to celebrating the new single, Rogers is launching a new tour with the very talented Ian Axel and Allie Moss.  Dubbed the Intergalactic Tour of the Universe and Beyond tour shows start on August 24th in Seattle, Washington and conclude September 21st in Boston, MA.  Together, these artists have appeared alongside Ingrid Michaelson, Glee’s Matthew Morrison, Ari Hest, Lelia Broussard, Jay Brannan, Rachel Platten, Caleb Hawley and others, and have appeared on numerous national television shows.  Landing on the scene together, this is the perfect opportunity to catch them at intimate venues before this constellation of singer-songwriters shoot to superstardom.
