Metadigm Services Reaches Milestone 2 Million Smart Meter Installations for Major Utility Company

Aug. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- ATLANTA — Metadigm Services, a utility services company specializing in “smarter” Advanced Metering Infrastructure(AMI) services to utilities, announced today that it has installed 2 million smart meters for a major utility company in Georgia, achieving a milestone on an AMI deployment project to install a total of 2.4 million smart meters.

In January 2008, the AMI project was launched with what is now Metadigm Services to deploy 2.4 million smart meters throughout Georgia over a five-year period. So far, the 2 million smart meters have been installed in 423 Georgia cities. An average 45,000 meters have been deployed each month, and an average 2,400 are being deployed each day. At the current installation pace, the project could complete by July 2012  -- six months ahead of schedule.
