The Mission Park Superhero Team
- Aug. 24, 2011 - MARLBOROUGH, Mass. --
Writer and director, Chip Perro hits a grand slam with "Mission Park" a comic book adventure that he wrote, co-directed and co-produced. Perro describes "Mission Park" as "a franchisable superhero action adventure set in a vivid comic book world. It's packed with comic action and style with superhero characters clad like silver-age comic heroes from the 1960s and a stylized visual format designed to make the movie look like a comic book page splashed onto the silver screen."
Perro also plays one of the superheroes, Chris Ember. "He's a fiery anarchist with a vast array of powers that are actually symptoms of a virus that's killing him." The superhero team includes Tessa Faux (Sam Pannier), a socialite-vigilante. Apple Orchard (Lauren Guglielmello)
serves as Faux's prim-and-proper sidekick who neither swears nor lies, but does carry an assault rifle to blow away the bad guys, and rounding out the team are Timothy Note (Casey Preston), who fights only for the glory, and Victor Strength (Christopher G. Pike), the world's strongest man.
To celebrate the DVD release, Perro Worldwide Comics is featuring a music video with the international hit song "Come" by Cole Toury, preformed by Tani. The music video is a glimpse into the seismic battle scene in the movie between the Mission Park Superheroes and the villainous Executive.
