The Admiral Swansea Bay 10k follows a flat, fast scenic course along the picturesque sweep of Swansea Bay and is recognized as one of the UK’s premier road races, ideal for runners of all abilities aged 15+.
In addition to the main 10k race there are still places available for the Admiral Swansea Bay Junior 1k, 3k and 5k races and the 10k wheelchair race.
Would be runners can enter online at http://www.swanseabay10k.com or pick up an entry form from any Active Swansea leisure centre.
Nigel Jones, Swansea Council's Special Events Manager and Race Director, said, “There are only a few days left to get your 10k entries in for the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k. Runners and wheelchair athletes who haven’t already done so are advised to enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
Sue Longthorn, Admiral Managing Director, said, "The Admiral Swansea Bay 10k is a very popular race, both nationally and internationally and I am delighted that Admiral will be part of it along with the junior races once again this year.”
“Supporting events in our communities is very important to us and the opportunity to be involved in such a significant fundraising event for so many charities is very gratifying for me personally as well as for our staff, many of whom will be running.”
The Admiral Swansea Bay 10k is part of the inaugural Run Britain Grand Prix race series and is kindly sponsored by the Admiral Group and supported by Bay Radio, Active Swansea, Road Safety, Days Motor Group, Subway, Premier Inn and Unilever.
