AlphaOne in Amritsar celebrated the Rakshabandhan and the 65th Independence Day of India with the patriotic, festive and fun-loving people of Punjab from August 12-15, 2011. Enthusiastic visitors, revellers and shoppers actively participated in several MC led contests and events held during the 2nd Independence Day and Rakshabandhan Festivities at AlphaOne that included Painting Competition, Quiz Competition, Poem Recitation, Baby Show, Theatre Play, Dance Performances by Kids and Laser Show. Despite the stringent mandatory security surveillance the MC’s enthusiastic and joyous interactions with the crowd got the contests going with fervour. Several competitions kept the interactive audience thoroughly enjoying and fascinated with the proceedings. Souvenirs & Appreciation memento felicitations, wherein given trophies & memento’s been given to all dancers, performing groups, Lions club, Go India Foundation and others.
During the 2nd Independence Day festivities at AlphaOne, Mr. Rajendra Prasad, Centre Head, AlphaOne and Col. Mandeep Singh, AGM, AlphaOne hoisted the Flag with National Anthem followed by Blood Donation Camp, in association with the NGO, Go India Foundation at AlphaOne, Amritsar. Thousands of enthusiastic visitors made a beeline to show their patriotism, participating in the ongoing fun and festive contests that entailed gifts galore for visitors and participants.

On August 12 & 13, 2011, there was Rakshabandhan celebrations in association with ‘NANHI CHAAN FOUNDATION’, the NGO and MY FM radio. AlphaOne also pioneered the digital way of celebrations of the rakhi, "Send A Digi-Rakhi" application by making this rakhi a special one for your brother. On 15th August, AlphaOne exhibited the creative master pieces in the “Works of Free Mind” exhibition to express what freedom means to oneself. AlphaOne invited various participants by giving the freedom to express and share their freedom messages, poems, drawings, paintings and what not. AlphaOne also gave a chance to all the fans to exhibit their creative side by visiting the art gallery and the Wonder Record Holding exhibition and thereby enjoy the way one’s creative juices flow out in terms of painting and expressing their hearts out.
From August 13 to 15, 2011, there was a painting exhibition of KT Kala Kendra, Amritsar at AlphaOne where all the artists post the exhibition lighted the lamp. On August 14, 2011, there was a Baby Show organized by Angel Paradise School, with 105 students participating in two different rounds of fancy dress, singing & dancing show followed by a fashion show. A Rock Band Show was organised by the students of DPS School at the Amritsari Bazaar Atrium, lasting for an hour. On August 15, 2011, Donate Blood- Share the spirit, Donate Blood! Blood Donation camp at AlphaOne. Blood Donation in association with ‘GO INDIA FOUNDATION’ & ‘LIONS CLUB’. Over 120 donors donated the blood at the camp. T-Shirts were distributed by ‘Go India Foundation’ to the donors and Space & Free Parking facility provided from AlphaOne management to all the blood donors.
The theme of the venue dressing and ambience for the Independence Day and Rakshabandhan Festivities at AlphaOne was done aesthetically and in keeping with the importance of the landmark days.
