ON THE MARK Selected to Build Design Leadership Program for Major Engineering Firm

ON THE MARK (OTM), a leading international business transformation consultancy with offices in Phoenix and London, UK, announced they have been chosen by a large multi-national construction engineering firm to develop and deliver a “design” leadership program intended to jump start the embedding and sustaining of their design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA) efforts.

“The ultimate aim of this project is to develop unwavering sponsorship support and begin the process of robustly embedding DfMA into their current core processes, structures, people, systems and ways of working – which will ultimately lead to greater value to the customer and the customer organisation,” commented Mark LaScola, Managing Principal of ON THE MARK.

Rather than attempting to “bolt on” a canned solution, LaScola explained that the work will be done collaboratively, using OTM’s proven accelerated readiness methodology in development and implementation of transformation efforts.

Acknowledging a parallel process to the engagement, LaScola said “OTM will apply the principles of DfMA in the development and delivery of the leadership program as well – thereby linking the leaders and managers experience of the program with that of their customer. This will grant them a glimpse of and appreciation for the potential value of DfMA to the customer.”

Work on the project began in early August 2011.
