Local businessman James Cook of SpiderGroup is determined to bring people up-to-date with the Cloud using a series of events. During the seminars, he is determined to do more than simply describe what the cloud is, but to show business owners with a live demonstration.
Mr Cook says: “We held our first event in May this year, it was packed full of information about the Cloud, yet some people still left confused. Going forward we hope that a live demo will really show-off the capabilities of Cloud Computing and help people to understand it much better.
“Cloud computing is a great tool for businesses and definitely the future, so we’re keen to teach people as best we can. We really want Bristol to stay ahead in technology”
The UK is already lagging behind other European countries by 12% when it comes to
Cloud Computing adoption, and education is the start of closing that gap believes James:
“When I tell people what cloud computing is, people still look at me confused, however when I visit them and show them how it works, there’s a real “a-ha” moment and they just get it. That’s why I believe there needs to be a real focus on cloud education here in Bristol”
